Summary

My only qualm is that it didn't feel quite as strong as the first entry, partly because it felt a bit like splitting the party in DnD。 My only qualm is that it didn't feel quite as strong as the first entry, partly because it felt a bit like splitting the party in DnD。 。。。more

Another masterpiece from Brian McCellan, the plot is fast paced, always interesting, and full of surprises。 There are many fleshed out characters and the world building is some of the greatest there is。

Ciara

Fun characters, good battle scenes, evocative worldbuilding

Great 2nd book and some really fun and intense scenes。 The world building and character development was perfect。 Thoroughly enjoyable。

“Let the Kez come,” Tamas roared。 “Let them send their greatest generals after us。 Let them stack the odds against us。 Let them come upon us with all their fury, because these hounds at our heels will soon know we are lions!”Great action and exciting mystery events in this book! The looks at the aftermath of revolution was really interesting and the military corruption is so maddening! Great read and a good cliffhanger that makes you want to jump right into the next one

How will Bo and Adamat find Adamat's son? Too many questions but there's only one way to find out。4。7/5 。。。more

Not a single dull moment。 Action packed, fast-paced, well-written book。 Loved every second of it。

Just perfect! AGAIN! McClellan knows how to develop an interesting story。 I loved it as much as Promise of Blood and I will definitely be reading The Autumn Republic right away。 I really want to know where this story is going。

La acción no para, y cada segundo temo por la seguridad de todos。 Algo me dice que el siguiente libro será épico。No sé porque esta serie no tiene más hype porque lo merece。

I went through the trilogy despite its lack of female characters。 A great story but that lack of female characters really sucked

The Crimson Campaign picks up where Promise of Blood left off! It is action packed almost the whole way through in what was a great read。—I think what grabs me about this series is it’s realism。 Each book (this one especially) doesn’t shy away from the realistic reality of a country during wartime。 Though still a great piece of fiction (and a fkd up one at that 😂) I loved reading about the different tactics used and the different terrains McClellan’s generals had to manoeuvre themselves around i The Crimson Campaign picks up where Promise of Blood left off! I still love Taniel Two-shots the best, the crazed powder snorting mage’s character just got better and better as he fought to hold the front line in a relentless battle of mental and physical strength。—⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ again mr McClellan, well done 。。。more

I thought this book was gonna have a considerable drop in quality in comparison to the first, but it was very good。 It was a very complete second book, the plot was expanded, the characters developed, now I hate vlora even more。

I enjoyed this book immensely。 I was not as fond of the first, but I believe it was because I had it on audiobook and might have missed some parts。 I had this book in hard copy and found it to be excellent

McClellan has a true Knack (pardon the pun) for writing stories of high tension without dropping the story or making it seem like just one tedious matter after another。 His worldbuilding is immense for someone writing about only one small country and it's nearest surrounding neighbours's territories。 The magic systems are well developed and anything left in the dark is just dark for all, no matter main character, god nor reader。 This definitely lends the spirit of assimilating the reader into th McClellan has a true Knack (pardon the pun) for writing stories of high tension without dropping the story or making it seem like just one tedious matter after another。 His worldbuilding is immense for someone writing about only one small country and it's nearest surrounding neighbours's territories。 The magic systems are well developed and anything left in the dark is just dark for all, no matter main character, god nor reader。 This definitely lends the spirit of assimilating the reader into the world of these characters and their story。 Cannot wait to see what the final book entails。 。。。more

4。5, despite the annoying narrator the writing holds strong!

Wow well what can I say, this series is absolutely phenomenal in every way。 An awesome second installment to the first book Promise Of Blood, the characters, plot and setting will just blow you away like a powder mages thought。 It has it all from gun powdered sorcery, privileged sorcerers, twisted warden’s and to throw into mix a god that wants revenge for being left for dead。 Kresimirs balls, the action and pace of this book will have you begging for more。 Field Marshal Tamas has been trapped b Wow well what can I say, this series is absolutely phenomenal in every way。 An awesome second installment to the first book Promise Of Blood, the characters, plot and setting will just blow you away like a powder mages thought。 It has it all from gun powdered sorcery, privileged sorcerers, twisted warden’s and to throw into mix a god that wants revenge for being left for dead。 Kresimirs balls, the action and pace of this book will have you begging for more。 Field Marshal Tamas has been trapped behind enemy lines and has been betrayed, they are being pursued across Kez by the Kez army and are totally out numbered。 Can Tamas get 7th and 9th brigadiers back to Adran soil without to many losses, but being Field Marshal Tamas he will do everything the hard way and making sure he takes as many of his enemies out with him。 Now for the Autumn Republic, if you love flintlock fantasy, you will frigging absolutely love this series。 I very highly recommend。。。。😁💥🖤 。。。more

4。5 stars。Wow。 This book starts with the pedal to the floor and hardly lets up。 Great pacing。 One of those rare times that the second book is better than the first。I felt a little bothered with how the "ending" was handled with one of character's threads (there could have been a little more resolution), but other than that the book was great。 4。5 stars。Wow。 This book starts with the pedal to the floor and hardly lets up。 Great pacing。 One of those rare times that the second book is better than the first。I felt a little bothered with how the "ending" was handled with one of character's threads (there could have been a little more resolution), but other than that the book was great。 。。。more
